Sedona

Sedona, Arizona - March 2010

In March, my mother and I dropped our friend, Flo, off in Prescott and then headed over the mountains into Sedona. It was a spectacular week that I am so grateful to have spent together.

Can you believe it??? My Mother is petting a giraffe on safari in Out of Africa.

We took the Verde Canyon Railroad on a scenic trip. The tracks were put down to move the ore from the mines in Jerome to the trains in Flagstaff.

The open-air car was just off our first-class cabin. It was a glorious 70+ degrees, with snow on the mountains.

We took a tour of Sedona that showed us remote places we would not have seen.

This is outside the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

I am the well-adjusted middle sister of five girls. We were fortunate enough to grow up in a home with lots of laughter, teasing, and tears, and, at times, only a bath & a half, so we had to learn to look out for ourselves and each other.

It is a testament to my parents strength that we have all grown into successful parents. Family remains the core of our lives.
